"How can we create a social enterprise that works for Sanquhar?"



The group considered lots of possibilities, and included the thoughts and ideas of the community by conducting survey’s to ensure it would be a self-sustaining social enterprise for the benefit of the community.



With great support from the community including council and police it was suggested that a COMMUNITY CENTRE should be considered, running a wide variety of activities day and night and modelled on YIP World - a similar and successful initiative that runs in Cumnock. SEDG and the young people are now working together on an exciting new business plan for the building to make this happen!
