The young people decided to focus on internal and external communications between teams and spent time in Alhstrom interviewing staff at all levels from senior management to the shop floor.

A presentation and report on Alhstrom's communications strategy recommended a number of initiatives including more opportunities for face-to-face meetings across all levels and departments and re-instating a company newsletter that was particularly valued by administrative staff.
